Reid Harada was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. He attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he received his degree in Sport Science: Sport Management with a minor in pre-law. He received his Juris Doctorate and IP certificate from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Reid's legal career started at a general practice firm in San Francisco where he started as a law clerk during law school and became a licensed attorney. He worked in a variety of areas including contract, employment and labor law, and personal injury, but quickly gravitated toward estate planning and probate work.

Reid lives in Fremont with his wife Katie, and their dog Mili. They enjoy traveling, mostly to Hawaii and Los Angeles to see their family, but elsewhere when they can. Reid is an avid golfer, who also enjoys watching sports, and is a huge fan of Chelsea, the Rams, the Warriors, and the Giants.
