Lujuana is originally from the east coast region of the United States, outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area a couple years ago. She received a BA in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Maryland at College Park, a JD from the City University of New York School of Law at Queens Colleg (where she was a Law Review Editor), and an MBA in Business from Drexel University, Le Bow College of Business in Philadelphia, PA. Lujuana is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and New York.
Prior to moving to the Bay area, Lujuana managed a solo limited liability corporation law firm in which she practiced in the areas of contracts, corporations, family, (including parental rights defense and domestic violence), special education, student discipline, and real estate transactions, (including landlord/tenant). Prior to that she was a staff attorney with a legal aid program representing indigent clients in which she briefed and successfully argued for appellant in N.J.D.Y.F.S. v. L.A. & R.S., 357 N.J. Super. 155, (App. Div. 2003). The New Jersey Appellate Division ruled in favor of the appellant reversing the lower court judge’s decision and remanding it to be retried.
Lujuana enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is very active, so when she is not working, you may find her relaxing on the beach, singing in the church choir, bicycling, roller blading, or traveling.
